Windmöller & Hölscher launched new flexo and gravure press

At drupa Windmöller & Hölscher presented the Miraflex" C, the next generaton of their Miraflex family. The new press builds on the manufacturers long experience in flexo printing. At first glance the modern, structured design of the Miraflex" C attracts one's attention. On the Miraflex" C, the rear frame and the tunnel – the area between the printing unit and the rewind unit – were redesigned. In the rear frame, all W&H inspection systems can be integrated as required. On the bridge, all auxiliary components are accommodated efficiently and with minimum use of space.

The end of mounting tapes?

When the Dutch printer Oerlemans Plastics purchased a new Windmöller & Hölscher flexo printing press in January 2016, they decided to invest in Polymount's self-adhesive Twinlock sleeves in order to eliminate mounting tapes and save money on the long run.

Pregis invests in Windmöller & Hölscher equipment

Pregis will spend approximately USD 17 million in its facility. Raising the roof at that location will enable a new installation—a five-layer Windmöller & Hölscher blown-film line—which is expected to be operational mid-summer. The structural modifications, coupled with available floor capacity, can accommodate additional extrusion lines in the future as demand increases.

Windmöller & Hölscher press installation in Pakistan

Renowned Pakistan printer M/S Roshan Packages recently installed a Windmöller & Hölscher 8 colour Heliostar gravure printing press and 5 layer Varex II blown film line. The Heliostar is in operation since February 2016 and the Varex will begin with commercial production from 1st may ,2016. The gravure press has a max printing width of 1300 mm, a max repeat of 920 mm and is able to print at speeds of up to 500 m/min. It is said to be their first W&H printing press and extrusion line, previously Lahore based Roshan Packages only invested in equipment from Taiwan.
