Folmex equips their Windmöller & Hölscher press with Twinlock Sleeves

Folmex in Mexico have completely equipped their W&H press with Twinlock Sleeves. After running some tests, they found that the print results they obtained with Twinlock Sleeves were better than the print results with mounting tape.  They can also achieve higher press speeds compared to standard mounting tape, due to the better absorption of bouncing in the press with Twinlock and the higher stability it offers.

CONVEX orders one of the first MIRAFLEX’’CL lines

In time for the 40 anniversary of the company New Zealand based CONVEX Plastics was one of the first to order a new MIRAFLEX II line in 2016. The new machine is equipped with 8 color decks and comes with a large repeat length of 1130mm and a press speed of 500mmin. It is scheduled to be delivered in June 2017. The MIRAFLEX’’ C will be delivered with state-of-the-art VISION Package for web- and defect inspection, as well as with an inline gravure stand for lacquer application.

Ceisa Packaging makes more investments

A new flexo press has been installed by Ceisa Packaging at their Saint-Cyr-en-Val plant. The flexo printing machine is from Windmöller & Hölscher and has an eight-colour function. The installation was accompanied by the recruitment of 16 interim operators and the company stated that half of them should be granted an open-ended contract to join the rest of their employees.

Web Industries installs Windmöller & Hölscher printing press

Web Industries, Inc. announced their recent acquisition of two W&H Astraflex 8-color central impression flexographic presses for its facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Consumer packaging goods will benefit from Web’s capabilities to provide visually appealing graphics with the assurance of these defect-free products. Kevin Young, VP of Corporate Development at Web Industries, said that Web Industries support both objectives that differentiate consumer product companies in the marketplace by adding multi-color printing while controlling product costs.
