The Reifenhäuser Group takes over EDS GmbH

As of January 17, 2018, EDS GmbH an international supplier of high-end extrusion tools is part of the Reifenhäuser Group. EDS is a specialist for flat dies with headquarters in Reichshof-Wenrath, North Rhine-Westphalia.

EDS GmbH will operate within the Reifenhäuser Group as a separate independent business unit. Johannes P. Müller, the previous owner, will continue to run EDS GmbH, together with Uwe Gaedike, Director Operations at Reifenhäuser, who is also responsible for developing the components business of the Reifenhäuser Group.

Polypack adds machinery

Russian manufacturer Polypak is adding a new Reifenhäuser extrusion line for 3-layer PE films and another printing press. The company is investing around EUR 4.6 millions, which is to increase output by 2,700 tpa.

Reifenhäuser Blown Film GmbH is, one of the leading providers of blown film extrusion lines, is offering blow films which are perfectly suited for lamination – the EVOLUTION Ultra Flat haul-off.

This film is produced in response to the problem of the wave phenomena where surfaces are not perfectly plane, and therefore, not very suitable for lamination.

The secret of the film is that it’s installed exactly at the point where optimum procession conditions are available for flattening the web.

Reifenhäuser sells Reimotec to Dietze & Schell

Reifenhäuser Maschinenfabrik and Dietze+Schell Maschinenfabrik consolidate their activities in the niche markets monofilaments, strapping tapes and artificial turf. Reifenhäuser transfers the two companies Reimotec Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, and Reimotec Winding Technology to the Coburg-based company. In the recent past, Dietze+Schell had already purchased Sima and Techno Plastic.
