Flint acquires Xeikon

The Flint Group has announced the launch of a digital printing division, and the acquisition of Xeikon. 

Xeikon, designs, develops and delivers digital printing presses (and consumables) for the global packaging, label, commercial and document market segments. Xeikon’s products and services will be the base of a new division called Flint Group Digital Printing Solutions.

Gravure printer goes digital

Germany based packaging producer Allflex Folienveredlung has installed its first HP Indigo 20000 digital printing press. The subsidiary of Bagel Packaging reacts on the increasing demand of short runs, which they previously printed in gravure. The press is 30" wide and able to print up to seven colours. 

Back in 2009, Allflex has purchased a HB Indigo WS 4500.

Uteco goes digital

By integrating the Prosper S-10 imprinting system into the Uteco Onyx 812 flexo CI press, Kodak and Uteco are able to offer a solution that drives new opportunities for flexo printers. The unit is able to print 2D barcodes and track and trace elements in order to prevent counterfeiting, imprinting, sersioning and long-run batch printing, accelerated time to market, personalised content and interactive elements.
