Cosmo Films honored for flexible packaging innovation

Cosmo Films has been awarded for excellence in its packaging innovation and product development in flexibles in the SIES School of Packaging and IFCA Star Awards programs.

The winning IFCA Star Award entry was a black velvet lamination film that offers intense black color along with velvet touch to the laminated paper, paperboard or package.

Cosmo Films Enhances Anti-Fog Film Properties

Cosmo Films, an India-based BOPP film manufacturer, has upgraded its anti-fog film to suit packaging a wider variety of products.
The anti-fog film is available in 15 to 40 microns thickness and is compatible for sealing on PE trays. It also comes in a Keep Fresh grade with anti-bacterial properties for longer shelf life. 
Both sides of the film are heat sealable, with printing done on the top side and anti-fogging properties on the inner side.
It complies with both EC and FDA food contact regulations.

Cosmo Films to set up new production line

Cosmo Films Limited announced that they have plans to install a new production line for Speciality Polyester (Biaxially-Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate) films. This new line will be put in order at the Waluj plant site in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India and is estimated to have a capacity of 36,000 MT per annum. The new production line will allow Cosmo Films to offer a more comprehensive speciality product basket to flexible packaging, labelling, lamination and industrial applications. Cosmo Films has announced start up of its tenth, 10.4 metre BOPP line. With installation of this new line, the company will increase its annual capacity by 40%, taking it to 1.96 lakh MT. Company’s current annual capacity stands at 1.36 lakh MT.
