Bobst presents the latest in gravure printing

Bobst Italia demonstrated their latest technology at Gravure Innovation Event held on May 11-12 in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy.

Treofan Installs Second Bobst Coater

Treofan Group is installing a second high-performance coater at its site in Battipaglia, Italy in addition to its Terni site which produces an annual 10,000 metric tons of coated film.
The Battipaglia site is flexibly designed to produce films in various coatings, including films with both single and double-side coatings and integrated mineral oil barriers. Film width can be varied as well.

Technology forum at Bobst Italia

An open house event is going to take place in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy that will be hosted in the competence center made for web-fed gravure and coating technologies.

This event is going to be first demonstration of the latest gravure platform of BOBSTs that will be unveiled at drupe 2016 as the gravure industry is rapidly keeping pace with global changes in consumer behaviours.

Is standardized flexo an alternative to digital for short runs?

Bobst introduces inspection system

Bobst introduces Hawkeye pinhole detection system. This system can monitor a defective pinhole during metalization and monitor the OD uniformity. This unique inline OD measuring system is based on the already-acclaimed Bobst Registron module and eliminates the need for offline checking, hence reducing the risk of customer rejects. Hawkeye accurately checks defects throughout the full reel length and provides immediate live feedback alerts to the operator pinpointing the exact location of pinhole defects inside the vacuum chamber so that corrective measures can be applied to eliminate them.
