PlateCrafters happy with highlights after investment

With a series of acquisitions, including Para Print, Premier Printing Plate and Art Engraving Company, PlateCrafters has installed a new Esko CDI Spark 4260 imager in their Pennsylvania headquarters facility to support additional capacity. The company's three locations serves every industry, providing quality prepress services including flexo polymer and rubber plates, digital arts, and stamping dies. Their plates are used for everything from wide web bags, blister packaging and corrugated boxes, to high-end 200 line screen labels.

Glatz Klischee invests in Esko XPS Crystal 5080

The Austrian company, Glatz Klischee invested in Esko’s XPS Crystal 5080 to receive stable and consistent UV exposure during the flexo plate making process. Manfred Schrattenthaler, Managing Director of Glatz Klischee, said that they believe that UV main and back exposure in one unit represents a milestone in flexographic plate making. The company has been working with the XPS Crystal 5080 for half a year and it has proven to improve device development and is on the point of making a leap in plate manufacturing.

Dupont provided Fotograbados Longo S.A. with Cyrel LF systems in order to complete the first stage of their investment project. They now have two full production lines of photopolymer platemaking and are already working into the second stage of their investment project.

Vianord provides true full automation from plate imaging to plate delivery

Vianord has launched the modular EVO plug-and-play smart-bridge.

They have developed a dedicated robotic system, that can be tailored to any Imager, independently if it is in a stand-alone configuration or combined to a proprietary LED exposing unit. The new concept complements their automated EVO lines. According to Vianord, this is creating the first fully automated platemaking system; from plate imaging to plate delivery. What is more is that the bridge can connect up to two laser units to one Evo line.

Tye Cine from Malaysia invests in direct engraving technology

Tye Cine, one of Malaysias largest repro houses has invested in direct laser engraving from Hell systems and elastomer plates and sleeves from ContiTech. The new system enables Tye Cine to engrave screens with a ruling of up to 5080 dpi. The repro house has received extensive training at ContiTech's service centre in Singapore. In addition to the centre in Singapore, ContiTech also runs a demo line in Shanghai, China.
