Starlinger supplies sack production equipment to Russian company KZSU

Recently the Russian company Kazanskiy Zavod Sovremennoy Upakovki (KZSU) inaugurated its new production plant for AD*STAR block bottom sacks. In the new plant, KZSU is producing 44 million block bottom sacks for the packaging of cement, gypsum, chemicals, fertilizer, animal feed and other dry bulk goods.

The entire production equipment was supplied by Starlinger. The investment includes extrusion, weaving, coating and printing lines,as well as 2 ad*starKON sack conversion lines and a recoSTAR universal recycling line for treating the production waste from Starlinger.

Bandera sells a blown film line to a Malaysian customer

Bandera strengthened its presence in the South-East Asian market by selling a blown film extrusion line for flexible packaging to a customer based in Malaysia. The 3 layer line is equipped with 1 75 mm extruder for the core layer, and two 50 mm extruders for outer layers. The die head features a 300 mm die, and the lay flat width (trimmed) is 1600 mm. 

In the past two years, Bandera has sold 10 lines to South East Asia, with China remaining the strongest market in this area.

Rani Plast to install 2300 mm blown film die from Davis Standard

Finland based film producer Rani Plast of Finland has ordered a large-scale blown film line from Davis-Standard line equipped with a 2300 mm 7 layer Centrex IBC die. According to the extrusion film line manufacturer this will be the largest seven-layer blown film die they have ever built for any customer. Rani Plast’s willl produce both high barrier agriculture films and non barrier conventional PE-based films in thickness from 30 to 200 microns on this line.

Bandera installs PET extrusion line in Bulgaria

At the end of this month the Italian company Luigi Bandera will deliver a new PET extrusion line to a Bulgarian customer. The line has a net web width of 1050 mm, and produces PET in a thickness range of 180 to 1200 micron, at a gross output og 700 kg&h. It has a monolayer flat die with internal deckling system and is equipped with an inline lamination unit.

Macro sells its 60th double bubble line

Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. (Canada) has sold its 60th double bubble line in the world, and it is also the 10th supplied to the same customer in South America. Macro is able to provide double bubble shrink film lines up to 11 layers and up to 900 mm. Film thicknesses range from 20 to 100 micron. The double bubble line is also equipped with different annealing options depending on the applications to provide low shrink, medium shrink and high shrink options.

Ultralight PP 50 kg cement sacks

Cherat Packaging Pakistan and BSW Machinery are partners since 2010 when Cherat added PP cement sacks to its portfolio. The close cooperation has led to further investments in the PP sack business by Cherat Packaging and significant technology developments by BSW. Reifenhäuser installed 5 CPP lines

In 2015, five cast film lines equipped with the new MIDEX-HSD winder for the production of Polypropylene (CPP) packaging film were sold.The MIDEX-HSD winder has been designed to handle large diameters. The reel is no longer moved by a rotating arm or turret mechanism, but slides horizontally onto the machine frame as the diameter is growing. The working principle of the horizontal slide winder enables considerably higher reel loads to be taken up.
