A.J. Plast signs contract for Brückner’s LISIM technology

As in every region of the world, in South East Asia the demand for food packaging is on the rise. For A.J Plast BOPA film is a top choice when it comes to package ham and sausage, rice and grain, frozen and liquid foods or for vacuum packing. The reason is its excellent gas, fat and aroma barrier, exceptional mechanical strength, and also its high resistance to impact, puncture and pinholing for tough packaging demands.

At K 2016, the company signed a contract with Brückner for a 6600 mm wide simultaneous BOPA line with an output of more than 11,000 tons per year.

Infiana installs new blown film extruder

Infiana’s North America has installed a blown flilm extrusion line at their production site in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The extruder is one of several strategic equipment acquisitions made as part of a EUR 20 mio investment into Infiana’s global manufacturing base, as announced earlier this year.

In addition to the extruder, the Malvern facility will be receiving further printing and coating capabilities, expected to be set up and commissioned by H2 2017.

BritAS presents multi-functional multi-head filter for continuous melt transport

At the K 2016, BritAS will present the CBMF series – Continuous Belt Melt Filter, a new melt filtration solution. The standard version of the CBMF consists of 2 filter modules but can later also be extended to a triple filter – CBMF 3 - or even to a quadruple filter – CBMF 4. The CBMF is used for filtering efficiently and effectively contaminations out of plastics waste. And that with a constantly high quality of the recycled pellets, whereas the dirt is discharged with a very low loss of melt.

New feedblock fine-tunes each layer

A new coextrusion feedblock from Nordson Corporation enables processors of film, sheet, and coatings to fine-tune individual layers as well as accommodate changes in layer ratio, and to adjust the tuning system without removing the feedblock from the production line.

Next to a cast/calendering-MDO line with a length of 12 m, the Collin GmbH presents including a wealth of innovative individual components, the new E Entrance series extruder, the Collin multi-inspection, a 5-layer coextrusion line and a Collin Medical Line at the K.

The Calender-MDO line is equipped with a compounder Type ZK 25 P, a high speed Torque Extruder Type E 30 T, an extruder Type E 30 P, a 5-layer feedblock with a 500 mm slot die, a 3-roll calender with gap control, and a MDO with double stretching gap.

Jinming line sold to Mexico

China based Jinming has already sold the Superex 5-layer blown film line they will exhibit at the K to a customer in Mexico. After the Chinaplas this year the customer went directly to the Jinming headquarter based in Guangdong.

Maximum output of the Superex 5-layer blown film line is 720kg/h. It's total power is 780kW, and the actual load power is about 60% to 70% of it. The film thickness ranges from 0.03mm to 0.12mm. Maximum film layflat is 2100mm.

New high speed TDO Transport System for BIAX lines

A new TDO Transport System for BIAX lines which allows production speeds of more than 750 m /min is currently under final development. The use of clips and chains in the transverse stretching sections of BIAX Film Stretching Lines is an almost 50 years old concept. It has been created at a time wher BIAX Lines were slow and narrow and so where their TDO ovens. Over the decades output, speed and width of Biax Lines has changed dramatically, now reaching speeds of about 500 m/min and widths of more than 10 meters.
